where is your office?

I’m a part of Guilford Counseling, PLLC which is the only group private practice offering fidelity Comprehensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in Guilford County, North Carolina. I’m part of a cooperative community of clinicians who all provide evidenced based therapy to clients who experience big emotions and have big dreams. My office is located in Downtown Greensboro and is convenient to Winston Salem, Elon, Burlington, High Point, and Danville, VA.

do you do therapy online or in person?

I primarily provide in person therapy because working with you in the same space is important to me. I want to get to know you deeply and I find that I do that best in person. I sometimes offer telehealth therapy in the state of North Carolina only, on a case by case basis.

what kind of training do you have?

I have been intensively trained (30-60+ hours in the modality) in Internal Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I also have experience with Somatic Experiencing and Polyvagal Theory Informed Counseling. I also receive personal therapy on a regular basis and think all therapists should do this.

I graduated from a CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have a Master of Science and an Education Specialist Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina.

how long will therapy take?

Everyone’s path is different so there’s no way to know exactly what yours will look like before we’ve met and worked together on a treatment plan. Many of my clients achieve their goals within 1 year and others find that they want to continue past that, often at a reduced frequency of sessions (biweekly is most common). Weekly, 60 minute sessions don’t work for everybody due to scheduling, clinical needs, life responsibilities, etc. For those clients I offer therapy intensives.

how much will therapy cost?

My sessions rates are as follows:

Intake Session (90 minutes) - $200

60 minute session - $175

90 minute EMDR/IFS session - $255

I also offer Therapy Intensives which can be customized to individual needs.

do you take insurance?

I am transitioning out of accepting insurance but am currently paneled with some BCBS and some Aetna plans. Intensives are not covered by the majority of insurance plans.
